Haha, don't get too stressed Tuney, you know how I like to stir. I know you weren't bagging him, but I also reckon you have an inclination against him as a DT'er where I have an inclination towards him.

As I said the other day, I won't be starting him, but will always keep an eye on his price relative to my cap. I will have him on the radar as my prime upgrade target.

I like your article though. It's the age old debate about captain choices and personally I'm like you. I prefer to back a blokes 22 week average in. You take the highs with the lows and hopefully come out with a 110 or so average. Last year I started with GAJ and when I traded him out I switched to Lenny. For one week I went off Lenny and got punished with Goddard (my captain that week) getting a 30-40 odd.

Completely off topic but possibly relevant later as a cheap forward option, Trent Dennis-Lane from Sydney apparently played a blinder in an intra-club match - kicked five goals and was generally exceptional apparently. Roos has said he'd definitely start in the NAB cup, he comes into the side as an older (21 year old) who had a pretty good year in the WAFL last year.

Possibly for one of the bench forward slots? any mail on him?

Dan, can you please point out where in the article I bagged Gary Ablett?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I wouldn't have thought taking your blinkers off and looking at players other than Gary Ablett is bagging him.

As you may have guessed, my smokey for the brownlow is Bernie Vince. The smooth mover from Adelaide is always under the umpires nose in the midfield and the blonde locks will do him no harm either!

Nooo don't tell everyone to look at Vince!

Enjoy watching every minute that the lad plays, despite being a Carlton fan. I put a 20 on him at a handy $51 for the brownlow.

I generally go by the rule of choosing a captain week to week based on form and opponent and history against opponent. Usually works, provided i have a small pool of players that are eligible for captaincy.

I'm not a great fan of GAJ nor Swan. Both are upgrade targets at most for me.

Do you fellas have any smokeys for the brownlow?

Haha, it wouldn't be a Tuney article without bagging GAJ or Raines.
