- A couple of good inclusions for Brisbane – McGrath will be handy off the backline, whilst Black is a huge inclusion for the midfield.
- As promised, O’Brien will make his debut – he is a speedy, lightly built wingman, who is expected to play along the half-forward line. Not one to trade in straight away, but as Brisban’e season begins to go down the gurgler, they will begin to play more and more kids.
- Fevola is the big (yet expected) out for Brisbane – expect him to miss a few weeks.

I/C: Alan Didak, Ben Johnson, Tarkyn Lockyer, Ben Reid
Emg: Josh Fraser, Jarryd Blair, Luke Rounds
In: Anthony
Out: Brad Dick (shoulder)

HB: Mark McVeigh, Cale Hooker, Michael Quinn
C: Brent Prismall, Jobe Watson, Brent Stanton

- Chapman is back, as is Kelly and Corey. Duncan and debutant Menzel have been named on the extended bench.
- Menzel is a half-back flanker and was the Cats first pick in last year’s draft. Whilst i doubt he will make the team, he does seem a likely type for the future.

New: David Gourdis (Subiaco/rookie list)
- Webberley could be a good inclusion for dream teams, if picked, whilst the other big inclusion of Moore is not very DT relevant.
- Goudis may make his debut after impressing in the VFL as a defender.
Sydney Swans
B: Rhyce Shaw, Lewis Roberts-Thomson, Nick Smith

Hi guys please help me I need an answer on this asap:
Thinking of trading Shuey up to Sloane cost about 70K and Sloane is on the rise and named in the followers this week. Do we expect him to stay there for the season?
I have a spot in my midfield and want ablett and I think Sloane could be quicker than waiting on my Gysberts trade to generate enough cash.
I have 7 trades left and no cover for Hille however I can win my next 2 games without making any trades and only after League glory.
Please help asap!!!
GT
I would still trade Hille mate. He’s set to probably miss another 2 or 3 by the looks of it. And if you reckon you can win the next 2 games with ease, why do you need to desperately double-trade for Ablett?
Also interested to hear peoples thoughts on which would be better bench cover for Sylvia (again!) this week…
Hitchcock vs. Freo or Watts vs. Saints ??
Thanks Wilson – to explain – the reason for the trade is it a decision that needs to be made now as Sloane’s Breakeven is 9 this week.
I don’t see the point of trading Hille as I have nothing to gain from it I won’t be getting another ruckmen.
Also Hitchcock definitely over Watts. Saints defense will stop Watts and Hitchcock will have more room to move on the big Subi ground. Hope that helps.
Yeah, i was thinking Hitchy too.. Watts has been horrible lately. Altough, i did the exact same last week and they both scored the exact same anyway – 48! haha..
But yeah, i’m not sure if how you don’t figure there’s much to gain from trading Hille. I sat out the 2 weeks with him with no cover too but that’s enough for me with the new of his hammy flaring up again, Ryder’s in! Surely you’d want to be able to field the best team you can and although Hille’s injury will cost a trade, i’m sure many will be doing the same with Kreuz anyway, so you might get well beaten in the ruck department over the next few weeks… just my thoughts
whos the best mid under 180k
Thanks for the advice Wilson. I didn’t trade Hille though – i really don’t see the point making that trade at this stage when Cox has a breakeven of 97 and he would be my target if i was forced to trade. Ive also got Warnock so am hoping another horrible game from Hampson will force a swap.
I ended up doing something extremely risky and swapping shuey for Chad Cornes. I was surprised at Cornes price and he is at his bottom with a BE of 16 this week, and he more importantly provides an extra rotater into the backline so i gave him the nod. I know he has been awful this season and it is a massive risk but he has picked up the last 2 week and is also going to be a bench warmer as my backs and mids are full (with Hodge currently in the mids – i want to swap him into the backs and upgrade Cornes/Gysberts/Farmer for ablett in finals – got swan ablett montagna bartel barlow).
Hope to drop a comment in a few weeks bragging about that trade instead of being in depression about my stupidity hahaha.

Such a sad story to come out of today’s game – the injury to Michael Barlow. Those who saw it will attest to it being something they wouldn’t want to see again – the injury was graphic and clearly painful – the TV shows won’t even show the footage of him standing up afterwards, with his leg collapsing below him.
A very sad story indeed after such a brave and awe-inspiring debut year from the kid…
Best wishes on a quick recovery Michael!
And fair to say… http://www.footytragic.com will be the place to visit this week to find out what to do with him!
Well said Toby. Devastated by Barlow’s injury.
Will by watching with interest as I’m sure you guys will put together some good info on who to trade him to.
Yep, totally agreed Toby. Kudos to the kid for such an impressive and outstanding first year at AFL level. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his class and almost immediate rise to elite status this year. He has not only been a revelation to the Fremantle side but also to just about every DT coach!
Personally, i wish him well on a speedy recovery and i’m sure most would agree that the footballing world deserves to see this young talent shine again.
I know i will be quite eagerly tuning in to footytragic this week for what is probably the next big trade decision of the year behind Riewoldt!.. “What to do with Barlow?”
