  Going out on a limb on mid-priced players ala Raines and Butler, who didnt amount to anything – choosing an extra rookie in their places would have been much better!

  Biggest mistke was not having Ablett in my side form the start.

  All things being equal these will be the first 2 players selected next year and then work your selections around these 2 guys. Not having Ablett or a Super Premium reliable captain resulted in loosing way too much ground at the start of the season.

  Second was being a bit tight on paying for the higher priced rookies, will have to loosen the belt and spend a bit more on premium rookies and maybe go with out that extra premium or mid priced player in my starting team. This year would have been easier that next year as the first 2 picks were injured or not playing so that decision was made for us, next year we will have to make that call on spending the extra 60k on the number 1 pick. Personally I think its money well spent as there is little down side and little bit more certainty that he will be getting games rather than a second or thrid round rookie.

  Yeah Toby, I fell into the Andrew Raines trap as well. I also thought Mitch Robinson would get more games – so the fact he has missed the best part of the last 2-3 months is a bit cruel. In fact, he’s still in my team!

  Crap starting squad. Raines, S.Edwards, Spangher all in my starting 22. Three wasted trades and a significant loss of points as I moved these guys out.
