Hey regarding Brennan, my love for him has somewhat diminished this nab cup- he hasn’t been a standout in any games which has turned me off. Wat originally attracted me to him was his move to the midfield in 2010, and although that still looks to b the case, his lack of form has put me off. There definitely is some better picks at his price like higgins and Gia, whom I moved him out of my team for. He may be a good trade target this year, but coming into round one I just can’t justify the decision…

Personally I’m staying away from Brennan. He’s tempted me in the past, and has failed. What signs are there that it makes you think *this* will be his year? By nature he’s hot and cold. That amount of money is for guns like Gia or potential big scorers like Buddy. I wouldn’t be gambling so much on this kid.

Hey Guys, sorry that this is a little off of the Eagles topic, but i’ve happened to notice in some earlier posts this year of Toby’s man-crush/love for Jared Brennan (hehe).. I am looking to finalise that final spot in my forward line and i really, really like the idea of him at the moment and reading your comments on him has almost talked me into it. Although, i have not been overly impressed with his pre-season (if his scores are anything to go by – not sure of his TOG, etc?) but there is just that “something” about him that says i need to give him a run! Would it seem illogical to pick him over someone like Buddy who is 20k cheaper!? .. Once again, sorry for posting this here fellas (would be good to have some sort of player forum to rant in maybe?) …Anyway, cheers boys & keep up the great work on the site!

Bastinac or Shuey? Both have had very good pre seasons and both have been impressive over the NAB cup / NAB challenge series. They have given themselves the opportunity to play well by training hard over summer.

In relation to your question: “Who is likely to play more”? It all comes down to how they actually play in Round 1, 2, 3 etc. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but that is the reality.

Heath Scotland would be a solid choice for the Blues, but a risky one due to the fact he was dropped back to the VFL last year (some would say unfairly). Unfortunately, he seems to be Brett Ratten’s whipping boy when things go wrong for the Blues.

Breaking news: barlow has been elevated from freo’s rookie list which is fantastic news!!!
Nominated players along with Barlow are Jeff Garlett (Carlton), Ben Howlett (Essendon), Garry Moss (Hawthorn), Ben Speight (North Melbourne), Graham Polak and Relton Roberts (Richmond) and Will Sullivan (West Coast).

Interestingly, no Wayde skipper or Brodie moles!

what do you reckon, bastinac or shuey as a bench option? who is likely to play more. I personally think Bastinac at the moment.

Also, im thinking Scotland could be a good defender unique pick. what kind of role will he be playing? He is cheaper than other years.
