Yeah, looking at the scores you're quite right Dan (#2), they went up, but only marginally - but i guess i was thinking more about form lines - Rich really picked up his game in the last 10 or so rounds, and i think it is that form (and subsequent scoring ability) that he will carry into 2010.

re: "The bonus of Rich is he only really started scoring highly towards the end of the season, therefore he is underpriced from his potential."

It seems to me Rich's DT average near the end of the year doesn't seem significantly different to his full year average?

Had Staker last year which was pretty frustrating. Played round 1, spudded it up and got dropped, returned in round 4 and scored 100 playing in the midfield. Played full-forward in round 5 and scored 15.

Have considered Polkinghorne, but at the moment I think there might be a few players in that same price range that. Raines is one that could provide value if he can manage to get a game, and with Adcock and Brennan potentially playing midfield there should be a spot for him.

Backs
Adcock - May score a move to the middle
Maguire - Bench
Staker? - Wants a midfield role if he dose get one then hes worth getting into your side, can't see it happening we need an extra big body to play down back.

Forwards
Buchanan - Could average over 20 disposals per game

Rucks
Charman - can average 60 - 70 ppg

Generally don't have too many rookies from Brisbane playing 22 games. Rich was one out of the bag.

Don't think getting Fev is going to make much difference, Bradshaw wasn't exacly a dud. Hopefully he'll get a double team and someone like Amon or Brennan will get some easy marks up the ground.

We'll have to see how the Lions look like in the NAB cup we need some guys to step up like Sheldon,Stiller,Proud,Polkinghorn,Hawksley,Redden

None of these guys are rookie priced so not really in contention for dreamteam.

With Voss getting rid of so many players theres not much deapth so you might see a few more rookie debut this year.

PS Hope Troy Selwood comes back this year, I was that the match where he got knocked out against Richmond, he never came back quite as good.

Sounds very decent... I guess the other point to be made is how important having points of difference is to your team - if 30% of teams have Cox starting, you would be much better risking on someone like Brennan, especially for $100,000 less, coming off a FULL pre-season, and much more upside.

If Cox had had a full pre-season, he would be a lock for me too... it's just his lack of fitness base (which his game style relies on) will be too lacking - think Hodge and Buddy from last year - they are great examples of how much a player needs a full pre-season, EVEN if they are superstars!

I only suggest Brennan as having ruck eligibility due to him playing in that position a lot through 2009 - something which could persuade those good men at Champion Data to place him there! I guess we will find out on Feb 1st!

Also Dlow, who do you see as the best buys at Brisbane? Or those with good improvement in them? And do you think Fev's trade will help or hinder Jon Brown?

Got Sandilands and Big Cox for the time being

got a theory with the rucks that you get the best or get rookies

There is a big points gap between Cox and Sandi to the rest, I agree that there is not much value there in Cox

I probably think I'll end up with Sandilands, Charman, Lobbe, West as my starting rucks with the possiblility of Cox or Brennan getting in for West

Yeah Brennan is paying some consistant footy these days and dosn't go missing too much - Possibility of moving into the midfield, there is no chance he'll play ruck this year but might be running around the wing

Yeah Brennan sounds much better option than Cox

Brennan
Sandilands
Lobbbe
Charman

That sound like a decent starting ruck lineup - If these guys don't get injured then you won't need to make any trades except trading Charman down to a rookie towards the end of the year.

Only thing going for Cox is that if you get him its a safe bet that he'll be one of the top 2-3 rucks in the competition.

Jolly was getting 40 hit outs

dlow, i would be worried about Cox this year - he is still not back into full training, and they have already stated that they hope Nic Nat to play as first ruck this year, suggesting that Cox will be moved forward more - i dont like this.

Personally i believe that if Brennan gets ruck status, he is a lock! I dont have to tell you how much of a freak he is! Imagine him playing ruck/rover for a the whole season! A LOT of potential! Even if he is not ruck, but forward or back, i will strongly consider him!

My other ruck is Jolly - i believe he is a good pickup at just under $400,000 - with his move to Collingwood, it should see him get much more of the ball. Sydney were/are a very low possession team, so i believe their is great improvement to come from Jolly, especially since he moved to a team like Collingwood who love to kick the ball!

For ruck rookies, it is Trent West and Matt Lobbe for me - both are $90k and should play a handful of games this year - especially Lobbe!

Where do you think Brennan fits into most sides

Would think that playing this guy in the Rucks if avaliable would be a Handy Option. Out side of Cox and Sandilands there are not many players that average above 80

Charman is interesting - Tossing up on wheather to have him as my second ruck or third ruck

His scores are not up there to be a keeper but bit too expensive to be a bench player

It all depends on how many Rookies I can fit into my team - at this stage his is on my bench but if some of the rookie centres don't debut round one I'll upgrade one of them to a Gibbs, Murphy etc and downgrade Cox to a rookie
