Yes Dlow, definately some hard decisions! But thanks for passing on ur info regarding the top few teams! I think i will be happy with top 50!

It sounds like Stevie J will be back this week, and Grimes will be one to keep an eye on! I have a good feeling he may be back, but dont quote me on it!

I'll be keeping Higgins, assuming that he's gonna be around 3 weeks on the sidelines... i will wait for a press release, as i have cover for him on my bench! My last trade is gold and want to make sure i NEED to use it before hitting the button!

Score:  2243
Rank:    443

Doughnuts: 1 (S Tuck)

- Grimes out gave Broughton a run on the field.
- Higgins is going to hurt, got Hogan and Wright as cover. Hogan looks like getting dropped but did have a nice second half of the game.

Mids
Coughlan / S Tuck / Muston Can one of you guys get a game!!!

If I can average 2000 might hang on to top 1000

Toby - You'll have to fly the flag for Footy Tradgic this year. Top 50 is on the cards, there seems to be quite a gap from the top 10 to the top 100. Looking at the teams the leader looks like he has run out of trades. He has Adcock & Grimes in his team sitting on the bench and is playing Suban and Broughton. Leader have very good bench cover for the other positions might be able to catch up to him if he has a few problems down back in the next few weeks.

2nd & 3rd teams still have COX in their side indicating they have run out of trades and will be playing at least 1 short for the rest of the year.

Only way to make ground on the leaders is to be able to field a full side every week and not to worry about upgrading until you have a LTI.

Higgins will be a tough decision, last time he got injured he missed 2 weeks, this is the second time this year and the Dogs are comming up to finals so you would want him cherry ripe for the finals so would probably not want to risk him. 3 weeks might be on the cards, but you never know how bad it is, the doctors wouldn't have put him back on in the 3rd qtr if they thought that it was a risk, this leads me to think that its not as bad as it seems, obviously he has a history but it probably is a minor groin strain and was rested as a precaution.

Trade? Lets hope S Johnson gets up this week!!

But fortunately, it looks like Stevie J will be back this week allowing many coaches to swap him straight off their bench!

Shaun Higgins looks set to miss 2 - 3 weeks with a hamstring injury, picked up in last nights game against the Saints.

Rob Murphy also looks set to miss 1 - 2 weeks with a hamstring.

Shane Tuck was dropped by Jade Rawlings.

It seems unusual given that Tuck has been a solid contributor for the Tigers this year.

However, I suspect Rawlings has put him on notice due to his at times poor disposal & decision making.

Rawlings obviously doesn't have Tuck in his dreamteam!

I don't know what dream team prices are like but in SC you can sideways/upgrade Grimes into someone like Drummond or Lockyer and make a profit of $20k or so.

I wont be surprised if Grimes doesnt play again this year, he's had back related issues before and missed pretty much all of last year and some of early this year because of them. He's looking like a very very promising player and I suspect the Dees will err on the side of caution and put him on ice for the rest season as a precaution. Good for Melbourne, bad for our dreamteams.

Changing my captain from Gablett to Judd was a really bad idea also.

THE GRIMES DEBATE:

It looks like I was the only one to offload Grimes.

I'm seriously concerned about Grimes re - injuring his back. I've read / heard the following about Grimes over the last 3 days:

1 - He's 50 / 50 to play in Round 17 (not playing);
2 - Grimes could miss 1 - 2 weeks with his back injury;
3 - Grimes could miss the season.

Given that Melbourne are in "list management mode", it would not surprise me if Grimes is done for the year. While the player himself will always want to play, the medical staff & "list managers" always have the final say.

What's more, after witnessing Luke Hodge destroy Collingwood last Saturday night, he appears to be back to his Norm Smith Medal winning form!
