2013 Crystal Ball:
Premiers: Sydney
Brownlow medallist: Belinda Riverso (look her up), closely followed by
Patrick Dangerfield (rose coloured glasses are allowed for this section,
right?)
Biggest news story of the year: Kurt Tippett – misses first half of season
through suspension, misses second half through concussion. Finishes year
with less than 5 goals (but more than 20 behinds).
Break out contender: Richard Tambling. Seems odd to say for a 100 game
player, but given his well-documented draft position, I’m happy to back the
Coach’s pre-season spin.

2013 Crystal Ball:
Premiers: West Coast
Brownlow medalist: Patrick Dangerfield
Biggest news story of the year: Coaches and players embrace media, ditch cliché responses. “Stick to our structures” revealed to be AFL equivalent of dangerous stress coping mechanism “serenity now!”
Break out contender: With such a logjam at the top its a tough call. Coming from outside the eight I’d say Carlton.
